Construction prompts lane reductions on 35th Street
Monday, August 15, 2016 by Nora Ankrum
West Austin motorists can expect traffic delays on 35th Street between Foothill Drive and Hillview Road, where construction was slated to begin over the weekend on the installation of underground electrical feeders for the Davis Water Treatment Plant. The four-phase project should last about six months, with construction taking place between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., according to a press statement from the city. During some phases, the construction will take place only on weekends. Although 35th Street will remain open to traffic throughout construction, there will be a reduction in the number of open lanes. This map shows where drivers can expect to find barricades at each phase of the project.
