Friday, February 19, 2016 by Nora Ankrum
A group of current and former elected officials is gathering today to show support for Hillary Clinton’s presidential candidacy and to vote early. State Rep. Donna Howard (D-Austin), Travis County Judge Sarah Eckhardt and Council members Leslie Pool and Ann Kitchen will be hosting a “Women for Hillary” press conference at 9 a.m. before heading inside to vote at the Travis County Granger Building, 314 W. 11th St. An announcement about the event lists 33 women – including several state representatives, Austin City Council members, and Austin Community College and Austin Independent School District trustees – who have announced their support for Clinton.
