City observes Veterans Day
Friday, November 11, 2016 by Elizabeth Pagano
In observance of Veterans Day, city administrative offices and some other municipal facilities will be closed today. Those closures include City Council offices, public libraries, the Municipal Court and recreation centers other than Dittmar, Dove Springs, Givens, Turner Roberts and Gus Garcia (though those that host after-school programming will operate those programs). Refuse collection will remain on its regular schedule, and city pools, golf courses and tennis centers will remain open, as will the Austin Nature & Science Center and Zilker Botanical Garden. The Veterans Day parade will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Here’s a map.
