City hosts party to unveil South Central Waterfront Plan
Tuesday, April 26, 2016 by Nora Ankrum
To cap off three years of stakeholder collaboration on the South Central Waterfront Plan, the city is hosting an outdoor open house to share the results with the public. The plan, which will go before City Council in June, lays out recommendations for how to guide development decisions along Lady Bird Lake’s south side over the next two decades. The community has been involved in the process through a series of free events, including public talks and various interactive offerings, such as a photo safari, a downtown “walkshop” and “Walk and Draws.” The open house continues in that family-friendly vein with live music, a petting zoo, face painting and more. It takes place Saturday, April 30, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Austin American-Statesman Bat Park. More details are available here.
