City holiday closures

In observance of the Christmas holiday, all city of Austin administrative offices and other municipal facilities, recreation centers, senior centers, museums and cultural arts centers will be closed Monday, Dec. 25, and Tuesday, Dec. 26. Normal business will resume on Dec. 27. Public libraries will close Dec. 23 at 6 p.m. and reopen Dec. 27. There will be no trash and recycling collection on Christmas Day – all services will slide forward a day to occur Dec. 26 through Saturday, Dec. 30.

The following week, city offices and facilities, recreation centers, senior centers, museums, cultural arts centers and public libraries will be closed Monday, Jan. 1, for New Year’s Day. There will be no trash and recycling pickup, and collection will slide forward to occur Jan. 2 through Jan. 6.
