Capital Metro service changes during inaugural weekend

The Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority is bracing for the crowds that downtown Austin is due to draw today in response to the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump. University of Texas students (as well as some from high school) are planning to walk out of class at noon, which is expected to affect bus routes in the general campus and Capitol areas. Later today, the Austin Inauguration Pride March: LGBTQ & Allies could affect arrivals in the Capitol area during the same time frame. The One Resistance March at 5 p.m. will detour the following routes from Auditorium Shores to Congress Avenue: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 20, 30, 37, 801, 803, 982 and 983. Beginning at noon on Saturday, the Austin Women’s March will prompt detours on the following routes: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 19, 20, 30, 37, 801 NB and 803 NB.
