Cap Metro seeks feedback for transit study

Tuesday, February 16, 2016 by Nora Ankrum

The Capital Metro Transportation Authority is conducting a comprehensive review of the regional transit network, a project it undertakes once every five years. According to an announcement from the agency, the project “will assess existing/projected conditions while developing short (1-5 year), mid (5-10 year) and long (10+ year) range recommendations to create a more efficient, effective transit system with a clear direction for future development.” As part of the review, which is called Connections 2025, Cap Metro is seeking public feedback through an online survey (available in both English and Spanish) and a series of open houses taking place throughout the week. The series begins today with a meeting at Austin Community College South, 1820 W. Stassney Lane (served by bus routes 3 and 311), from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. There will also be a virtual open house from 6 to 7 p.m. More details on the study and on feedback opportunities are available on the Connections 2025 website.
