Monday, April 11, 2016 by Nora Ankrum
The advisory board for Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services currently has a vacancy that needs to be filled by “a consumer informed about issues relating to Emergency Medical Services,” according to an announcement from the Travis County Commissioners Court. The nine-member board’s primary purpose is to provide EMS service-delivery recommendations both to the city of Austin, which appoints five of the board’s members, and to the Commissioners Court, which appoints four members, including the member who will fill the current vacancy. More information – including length of service, desired qualifications and details about board meetings – is available here or by phone, at 512-854-4774. The application deadline is Friday, April 29, 5 p.m.
