Readers of yesterday’s Reporter’s Notebook were treated to Planning Commissioner Jim Duncan’s on-brand poem, “An Ode to the Code! Or: What’s wrong with CodeNEXT4!” Today we present an untitled rebuttal from former Planning Commissioner Dave Sullivan:
Here’s a new code that helps curtail flooding,
with green infrastructure to keep our trees budding.
Looks like this code will help keep water clean,
cut greenhouse gases, which it takes to be “green.”
Here’s a new code that creates more cheap housing,
here’s a new code to keep pro-sprawl fans grousing.
