AMP white paper comes out next month
Tuesday, June 30, 2015 by Elizabeth Pagano
Next month, Austin Music People will present its 2015 Biennial White Paper on the State of the Austin Music Industry. An invitation to the event explains, “Without truly music-friendly and musician-friendly municipal policy, both the cultural soul of our city and an economic driver of nearly $2 billion in annual local impact are at risk. And that risk affects all Austinites, not just those in the music industry. …The white paper is a solid assessment of key issues facing Austin’s music industry: affordability, revenue generation, civic engagement, venue preservation, and the city’s confusing and arcane land use code and permitting process.” The presentation is open to the public and will take place on July 29 at 3 p.m. at Holy Mountain. More information can be found on Facebook.
