Adler responds to homelessness furor

Even though they’re on their summer break, Austin City Council members have faced backlash for their decision to decriminalize homelessness at their most recent meeting. Given that a lot of the hysteria following the change is based on less-than-accurate information about changes to city laws, Mayor Steve Adler has made the choice to create a standard response designed to allay fears stoked by misinformation.
