Absences, meetings and babies
Thursday, June 9, 2016 by Elizabeth Pagano
It’s been awhile since City Council held a regular meeting. That changes today, technically, though with a handful of planned absences, it is unlikely that the meeting will be entirely regular (we are betting that it’s a bit shorter, actually, and that some of the more lengthy discussions will be postponed). Mayor Steve Adler and Council members Ann Kitchen and Delia Garza will be out of town attending to Smart Cities Challenge business. Council Member Don Zimmerman missed this week’s work session due to the birth of his son, Chase Zimmerman, and it’s unclear whether he will be at the meeting. Regardless, we at the Austin Monitor extend our congratulations to the Zimmerman family!
