Travis County keeps voting

The polls closed Tuesday evening with 44,605 Travis County residents – about 6.94 percent of the county’s registered voters – having cast early ballots for the March 1 primary election. Republicans had a showing of 14,696 voters, while Democrats totaled 29,909. Three days of early voting remain, with polls closing at 7 p.m. on Friday.
