City hosts Betty Dunkerley open house

Monday, February 15, 2016 by Nora Ankrum

The city is hosting an open house meeting this week to discuss the Betty Dunkerley Campus Infrastructure Improvement Project. The campus houses Austin Animal Center and the Austin/Travis County Health and Human Services Department, and the improvement project is set to begin this fall, with completion anticipated in fall 2017. Representatives from the design/build firm SpawGlass will give an overview of the project, which will include an expansion of the animal shelter. The expansion will add adoption kennels, visitations rooms, play yards, parking and other elements. The open house will take place Tuesday, Feb. 16, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
