Community health forum coming up
Tuesday, January 26, 2016 by Elizabeth Pagano
Next Wednesday, Austin residents are invited to attend a community health forum that Austin/Travis County Health and Human Services is touting as a means to “learn more about steps being taken to increase well-being and improve quality of life.” According to a press release about the forum, “Residents will have the opportunity to say which health issues are most critical to them.” Participants will also learn about the work being done to address “obesity, access to healthy food, transportation, and access to care” at the event, which will take place on Feb. 3, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at the George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center.
