TipSheet: Travis County Commissioners
The Travis County Commissioners Court meets at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
In the interest of space, we’ve decided not to post the entire agenda here. The County Clerk’s office hosts a copy at its website.
Items of interest for Commissioners Court include:
23. CONSIDER AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION ON ORDER AMENDING AND CORRECTING ORDER SETTING SALARIES FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS FOR FISCAL YEAR ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2015.
Travis County Commissioners will set the salaries of all elected officials in the county for fiscal year 2015.
24. CONSIDER AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION ON THE FY2015 INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF AUSTIN FOR CENTRAL BOOKING AND RELATED SERVICES.
Travis County Commissioners will vote on extending the county’s agreement with the City of Austin to provide Central Booking and related services at the Travis County Jail. This could be the final year of such an agreement, as the city has begun to consider setting up its own booking facility as both a cost-saving measure and out of concern over the Travis County’s cooperation with ICE on the controversial Secure Communities program.
