Leffingwell files report

According to a campaign finance report filed today with the Austin city clerk’s office, Council Member Lee Leffingwell has raised more than $69,000 during the last month in his campaign for Mayor. This brings his total raised to about $197,000, including a $100,000 loan from the candidate. He retains more than $87,000, a good beginning for an expected runoff with either fellow Council Member Brewster McCracken or former Comptroller Carole Keeton Strayhorn. Those reports have not yet been posted but all are due by 5pm today.
