The Austin Monitor, KUT News 90.5, and the LBJ School of Public Affairs Present City Summit

CitySummit is a half-day conference delving into key issues faced by the City of Austin as it moves forward in a post 10-1 political world. It will feature three panel discussions–one each mobility, planning and revenue. These will be hosted by KUT’s Terrence Henry, the Austin Monitor’s Mike Kanin and the LBJ School of Public Affairs’ Sherri Greenberg, respectively. It is produced by the Capital of Texas Media Foundation, KUT News 90.5, and the LBJ School of Public Affairs.

The agenda for the day is as follows:

9:30am: registration and coffee
10am: Mobility Panel–Niran Babalola of AURA, Jeremy Martin of the Austin Chamber of Commerce, and Dr. Randy Machemehl of UT. Moderated by Terrence Henry of KUT.
11:10 Planning Panel–Mandy DeMayo of HousingWorks Austin, Stephen Oliver of OPA Design Studio (also a CoA Planning Commissioner), Dr. Bob Paterson of UT, and Michael Casias of My Brilliant City (also a former CoA Planning Commissioner). Moderated by Mike Kanin of the Austin Monitor.
12:10-12:25 Grab a box lunch
12:30 Revenues panel–Civic Analytics’ Brian Kelsey, Deputy CoA Chief Financial Officer Greg Canally, and Greyhill Advisors’ Bob Farley. Moderated by LBJ’s Sherri Greenberg.
